Dr Siddhartha Bhowmik completed his graduation In 2008 from the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, the premier medical University of India. He won 2 gold medals for topping the University exams In Pharmacology and Oral Medicine.
Having a special Interest In Head and Neck Surgery, he pursued his post-graduation In the field of Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology. Submitting his thesis and passing out In 2012, again with a gold medal and winning the prestigious mayor’s scholarship of 30000 dollars, he was awarded with the best outgoing student of the year of his post Graduation
Following his PG, he was awarded a Fellowship In the Academy of General education, Manipal University, Karnataka.
He has published various scholarly articles In many national and international scientific journals on topics ranging from Head and Neck Surgery, Genetics and various other relevant areas of his expertise.
In recognition of his academic accomplishments, he was accepted Into the prestigious European Head and Neck Society, Brussels, Belgium.
Further pursuing his quest for knowledge and excellence, he did his Craniofacial Cosmetic Surgery training and was awarded the Fellowship In Aesthetic Medicine from the University of Greifswald, Germany.
He did further special surgical training In the Department of Maxillofacial surgery from the premiere Institute, Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, which was the first Stomatologlcal Hospital of India. and Is one the best teaching hospitals of the country.
He Is the guest speaker for various CME, CDE and DGM meetings. Delivering lectures and sharing his knowledge with his colleagues and fellow clinicians. A staunch believer In the principle that medical knowledge Is In the constant need of updating. he regularly attends various programs In order to keep himself on top of whatever Is latest and best In the field of medicine and surgery. He Is also featured regularly In various TV channels, where he Is Invited in debates and discussions on various health issues and asked to share his expertise.
He is currently serving as the Joint secretory of IDA. Howrah.
